The Name

Kol, meaning “coal” in Korean, represents the heart of Korean BBQ - the charcoal that brings out the best in premium cuts of meat. Our restaurant was founded with a simple mission: to bring the authentic taste of Seoul to Houston.

What We’re Actually Doing

Fresh cuts, not frozen. We’re not saying this because it sounds good on a menu - frozen meat releases water when it thaws, and water is the enemy of a good sear. You can tell the difference. Your beef shouldn’t be swimming on the grill. We’ve got the classics - galbi, samgyeopsal, bulgogi - plus a full bar with soju.
